Kristen & Davis | Scottsdale Engagement
There are no rules for how long a couple should be together before getting engaged. There's that saying "you just know when you know" but just because you know you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, it doesn't mean that you have to get engaged that very moment you decide. These two right here, they prove that. They took their time getting engaged, and they're taking the time they need to plan the wedding of their dreams, and that's what's right for them. They've been together for the better part of their lives, since meeting in college, and they've already been living their happily ever after for quite some time now.
Kristen and Davis (who will always be "Davis" to me, sorry guys....I know your name is Chris, but we'll just stick with Davis) met at ASU several years ago. When he was ready to propose, he took her back to the bars they used to frequent as college kids, and he got down on one knee to ask her to marry him on the campus where they met. Davis is funny and can dance up a storm like nobody's business and Kristen is smart and has this amazing drive to work so hard...she's a third grade teacher and a Pure Barre trainer....but she still manages to make time for our group's Monday-night-girls-nights to watch The Bachelor (or whatever other trashy reality show we can find)! And then there's their cockapoo, Domino...is she not the cutest thing ever?!
I know I say this all the time, but I was so honored that they had me do their engagement photos. Nothing beats the feeling when you know you have your friends supporting your dreams, and when they believe in you so much they ask you to document their lives too. I'm so excited for you two and your wedding next year! XOXO!
