Happy Anniversary Jen & Cody!
Today marks one year since this beautiful couple got married! Today also marks one year since I photographed my very first wedding. I can’t believe how quickly a year has gone by and how much has changed since then, not only with my photography business but in my personal life as well. I remember standing at this wedding, watching my friend from high school getting married, just being so incredibly happy and excited to be where I was at that exact moment. You could literally feel the love surrounded by their closest friends and family in the intimate backyard ceremony.
I still remember how Jen had a vision for their wedding that came together so perfectly. She put so much thought into the tiniest details from the beautiful handmade bouquets and flower arrangements, to the hay bails, signature cocktails, and the most unique bridesmaids dresses, to the daisies that decorated the cake and dessert table. The daisies were one of the most important details as they were her mom’s favorite flower, a symbol of her presence that day. Of course, nothing could top the gorgeous bride in her lace dress with the open back and the beautiful long train.
Jen and Cody had such an amazing support system with their parents who are their role models for an everlasting marriage and all their closest friends, who you could tell were just as much a part of their family. Their son, Corben, was the perfect little addition to the bridal party with his vest suit matching the groomsmen and his love for hi-fives! Emotions were high during the speeches as Jen’s mom was remembered, but there were also plenty of laughs from the toasts coming from the bridal party. Everyone said how lucky Cody was to win over a girl like Jen, but you could tell by the way she looked at him, that she felt just as lucky to become his wife. I got teary eyed that day watching it all unfold, and I’m tearing up right now even just writing this and remembering such an amazing day for an even more amazing couple. Happy Anniversary Jen & Cody!
